October 21st is the day that Hitting Cancer Below the Belt is redefining what it means to ‘have a ball’ – and we encourage you to be a part of it!
Join us at the home of Dr. Andrew and Jocelyn Vorenberg for the first ever Blue Gene Ball, where guests tailor their denim oufit in support of colorectal cancer awareness.
Whether you’re accenting formal or casual wear with your best pair of jeans, or dazzling in a denim gown or tux, we encourage you to personalize your outfit with your own story and style! It’s a party, it’s a charitable evening, it’s just a good time!
All guests will enjoy music and dancing, DogFish Head beer tasting and favorite golden beverages, heavy appetizers sponsored by Maya Restaurant, HCB2’s signature Go Blue cocktail, wine, and silent auction. The fun continues as you admire all the stylish denim and help to recognize and award the Best Denim Dressed male and female.
The event raises awareness of colorectal cancer and helps to fund the local work of preventing colorectal cancer, supporting patients and survivors, and educating the community about simple lifestyle choices that help to create a bodily environment where cancer is challenged to survive. Do you know your genes? Knowing your family history and being aware of symptoms is the first step in cancer prevention. We hope you want to dazzle with us in denim at the Blue Gene Ball!
