HCB2 Crew and VSU
HCB2 is headed to the Virginia State University campus and we are bringing our inflatable colon! HCB2 loves to talk about colorectal cancer prevention so we are taking our "Can We Talk" campaign to the campus of VSU. The more education we can bring to the younger population about colon health and preventing colon cancer, the better chance these young folks will reduce their risk of a future diagnosis.

FluFIT in partnership with the Henrico Health Department
Monday, October 7, 2019 is the East End annual FluFIT event in partnership with the Henrico Health Department. All attendees will be pre-screened to assess their risk of colorectal cancer by answering a simple questionnaire while waiting in line to receive their annual flu shot. Advisory Council Meeting
HCB2's annual meeting for the advisory council allows the medical and health care professionals who have offered their expertise and supported the organization to gather together. The meeting allows HCB2 staff to share accomplishments and plans for 2020 while receiving guidance and insights from the local professionals with the intention to meet the current needs within the Richmond community.

Exercise during cancer treatment through survivorship has been shown to increase positive outcomes for patients. Movement is critical at any age and any stage so it's important for HCB2 to offer guidance and opportunity for cancer patients to remain active. Each month cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers are invited to join the support meetings which will include a nature walk, gentle stretch, and breathing meditation.
