Hitting Cancer Below the Belt is dedicated to cancer prevention by providing community education, early detection services for colorectal cancer, and supportive services for the cancer community. By hosting events and offering services, we are able to raise awareness, provide education, and raise funds for local efforts in cancer prevention.
Our vision is to bridge resources to create a community without cancer.
EDUCATE- ADVOCATE-ELIMINATE – CELEBRATE!
Through our services and events, we provide prevention education which includes current medical information, nutritional strategies, and practical tips from experienced professionals along with survivors. HCB2 offers opportunities for community members to become advocates in the community by investing their time and talent in planning projects and working at events. Central to HCB2’s mission is cancer prevention, so we’re also involved in promoting and planning colorectal cancer early detection programs in the Richmond area in hopes of eliminating cancer development. It’s not all work, we love to celebrate and support recovery while enjoying the life we are given!
